Biografia:
Rasputina é uma banda de cello-rock. O conceito do grupo surgiu completamente formado; a idéia foi escrita em um manifesto por Melora Creager na década de 1980, inspirada em cenas filmes como E o Vento Levou, Oklahoma, Sete Noivas Para Sete Irmãos, nos quais havia cenas de mulheres em um grande quarto vestindo seus espartilhos e calçolas - ela queria fazer uma banda tirada de cenas assim. Por meio de anúncios no jornal, recrutou jovens cellistas - apenas mulheres - e formou a banda.
