Pillar é uma banda cristã,em seus cd mais antigos tocavam ao semelhante ao o que dão rotulo de Nu Metal, mas no seu trabalho mas recente a banda toca algo como um Rock Alternativo. A banda teve origem em 1998 com a missão de transmitir uma mensagem do Cristianismo em sua cidade natal Hayes, Kansas.
Pillar como significado de "Coluna", foi recebido de braços abertos pelas pessoas de uma Igreja, com um som agressivo e letras espirituais.
