Phildel é uma cantora e compositora britânica. Seu nome é um composto de seu pai chinês e sua mãe irlandesa - Philip e Della.
Sua mãe se casou com um muçulmano fundamentalista religioso do Egito.. A partir daí, toda a sua vida mudou, todos os seus pertences pessoais foram apreendidos e a música tornou-se um mal proibido dentro de sua casa.
Não havia rádio, nem CD player, e nenhum piano, além de ter seu nome alterado para Zara. Phildel então foi tratada como uma serva dentro de sua própria casa.
