PARLIAMENT
George Clinton é uma das figuras mais influentes da Black Music norte-americana. Desde os 70's, demonstrou seu pioneirismo à frente do Parliament e do Funkadelic, misturando elementos de soul, funk,rock e muita psicodelia para criar uma sonoridade verdadeiramente única.
Nos anos 70, George Clinton, com suas bandas Parliament, e, posteriormente, Funkadelic, desenvolveu um tipo de funk mais pesado, influenciado pela psicodelia. As duas bandas tinham músicos em comum, o que as tornou conhecidas como 'Parliament - Funkadelic'.
