El grupo Papá Changó, es una idea musical que nació bajo el concepto de la “música como una fiesta”, que se ha desarrollado a través de la fusión de ritmos caribeños como el reggae, el rocksteady, la cumbia, el hip hop, el dance hall, el ragga, la salsa, el latin jazz entre otros, la misma que ha cimentado un nuevo estilo musical al cual se lo ha bautizado como el Reggae Latino.
