O Pansy Division é provavelmente a mais importante banda de queercore / gay punk da história. Título alcançado pelo fato de ser sem dúvida a banda que lançou mais discos, por estar Há mais tempo na estrada e por alcançar mais repercussão dentre todas as outras. Portadores de um senso de ironia único, trazia letras pornograficas que fariam corar o mais experiente diretor de filmes pornôs. O próprio nome da banda significa algo como "Pelotão Florzinha".
