Biografia:
O quarteto de thrash metal de Nova York Overkill foi formado em 1980 pelo vocalista Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth e o guitarrista Bobby Gustafson, também incluindo o baixista D. D. Verni e o baterista Rat Skates. A banda conseguiu reputação pela velocidade brutal e pesada e pela técnica, mas não tinha a diversidade musical para competir com nomes pesados como o Metallica; ainda assim, construíram um forte legado no metal underground com álbums como o "Taking Over" de 1987 e o "Under The Influence" de 1988.
