Intro: G----Em7----G----Em7----C----Dadd4----G----Dadd4

G Em7
Well I've heard there was a secret chord

G Em7
That David played, and it pleased the Lord

C Dadd4 G Dadd4
But you don't really care for music, do you?

G
And it goes like this

C Dadd4
The fourth, the fifth

Em7 C
The minor fall, the major lift

D D#sus7 Em7
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

[Break down]

C
Hallelujah

G Dadd4 G Dadd4
Hallelujah

G Em7
Well your faith is strong but you needed proof

G Em7
You saw her bathing on the roof

C Dadd4 G Dadd4
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you

G
And she tied you

C D
To her kitchen chair

Em7 C
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair

D D#sus7 Em7 *Harmonic Sweep 7th Fret*
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

[Break down]

G Em7
Well I've feel like I have been here before

G Em7
I've seen this room, and I've walked this floor

G5 D G Dadd4
You know I used to live alone before I knew you.

G G5 A5
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch

B5 C
And Love is not a victory march.

D D#sus7 Em7 *Harmonic Sweep 7th Fret* [E: 5 E: 7 A: 5]

G (barre) Em7
There was a time you let me know

E (barre) B (barre) G5
What's really going on down below

But now, now you don't show that to me, do you?

G (barred) C D
And I remember when I moved in you

Em7 C
The holy dove was moving too

D Em7 C
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

[Break down 2]

G Em7
Well I've made amends to god above,

G Em7
And all I've ever learned from love was

C Dadd4
How, how does it suit someone
G Dadd4
Who'll out do ya?
G C Dadd4
And it's not a voice you hear in the night

Em7 C
It’s not someone who's seen the light

D D#sus7 Em7
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah

C Em7
Hallelujah Hallelujah

C G (barred)
Hallelujah Hallelujah
