Biografia:
Michael Johns (originalmente Michael Lee), é natural de Perth, Austália .
Se mudou para os EUA aos 18 anos, matriculado na Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College em Tifton, Georgia, com uma bolsa de estudos por tênis. Posteriormente se mudou para Buckhead, Georgia (próximo a Atlanta) para tentar carreira em música. Foi atendente de um bar local, onde teve seu início como cantor.
No início de 2000, se juntou à banda Film, com quem gravou o EP Rolling
