Melissa Lou Etheridge (nascida em 29 de maio de 1961, em Leavenworth, Kansas) é uma cantora e compositora estado-unidense de rock vencedora de dois prêmios Grammy e um Oscar. Também é uma famosa ativista pelos direitos LGBT. Sua carreira começou na década de 80 e inclui 13 álbuns de estúdio. Cantou no casamento de Brad Pitt e Jennifer Aniston. Ela e sua ex, Julie Cypher, têm dois filhos. Fã da Dave Matthews Band - com quem já colaborou -, e de Bruce Springsteen, Melissa já vendeu mais de 27 milhões de discos.
