Biografia:
O Meat Puppets foi fundado em 1980 pelos irmãos Curt (guitarra) e Cris Kirkwood (baixo), além de Derrick Bostrom (bateria), na cidade de Phoenix, Arizona.
Misturando elementos do punk rock e country, tocavam de modo agressivo, alto e rápido - também incluia elementos do blues e folk em sua música, de bandas como ZZ Top ou artistas como Neil Young. Com o passar do tempo, a banda amadurecia naturalmente, desenvolvendo e aperfeiçoando técnicas instrumentais e líricas e se movendo claramente ao hard rock tradicional.
