Biografia:
Matthew Jay fue un cantautor inglés, al que se compara con artistas como Nick Drake, Badly Drawn Boy y Jeff Buckley. Hijo de músicos folk, nació en Plymouth, Inglaterra, aunque pasó la mayor parte de su infancia en Gales.
Jay empezó a escribir canciones a los quince años, influenciado por los Beatles, Queen, David Bowie y los Beach Boys. En 1999, a los 20 años produjo una demo con canciones originales junto a su hermano mayor, atrayendo el interés de Food Records, filial de EMI.
