Biografia:
Lucy Pearl se formó en 1999 a partir de los componentes de otros grupos: Raphael Saadiq de Tony Toni Toné, Dawn Robinson de En Vogue y Ali Shaheed Muhammad de A Tribe Called Quest. Lanzaron un único álbum, también llamado Lucy Pearl, en 2000, del que destacaban los singles "Dance Tonight" o "Don't mess with my man".
El grupo generó un estilo muy personal, elegante y enriquecedor para el panorama del R&B de aquel momento. A pesar de ello, se separaron, siendo Saadiq el que más éxito ha tenido en solitario.
