Laura Nyro (Laura Nigro, 18 de outubro de 1947) foi uma cantora, compositora e pianista norte-americana de grande importância e influência cuja obra transitou entre o folk, jazz, blues, gospel e soul. Dentre os artistas declaradamente inspirados por ela estão: Joni Mitchell, Melissa Manchester, Rickie Lee Jones, Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren e Elton John. Rundgren afirmou que, assim que a ouviu, "parou de escrever canções como The Who e passou a escrever canções como Laura Nyro".
