Biografia:
John Paul Young (Glasgow, Escócia, 21 de junho de 1950) é um cantor australiano mais conhecido por seu hit mundial Love Is in the Air ("O Amor está no Ar" em português) lançado em 1978.
Nascido em Glasgow, na Escócia, Young mudou-se para Sydney ainda criança e no início dos anos 1970 já se tornou o vocalista da banda de rock Elm Tree. Em 1972, ele foi selecionado para o papel de Ananias, na produção australiana Jesus Christ Superstar, continuando na produção até seu encerramento em 1974.
