Kevn Kinney was ooit nog de leadzanger van rockband Drivin’ n’ Cryin. Hij maakte vervolgens enkele akoestische soloplaten waarbij hij veel samenwerkte met R.E.M.-gitarist Peter Buck. Met zijn nieuwe project, Kevn Kinney’s Sun Tangled Angel Revival imponeert Kevn met bezwerende rootsrock.
