Joseph Arthur é um singer-songwriter que nasceu em Akron, Ohio em 28 de setembro de 1971. Sua música passeia entre o rock alternativo, o indie, o folk... Suas composições são peças melódicas recheadas de um turbilhão de emoções. Ele foi descoberto por Peter Gabriel em meados dos anos 90 e gravou seus primeiros álbuns pelo selo do próprio.
