James Bay (nascido em 4 de setembro de 1990) é um cantor e compositor de uma pequena cidade do Reino Unido chamada Hitchin. Ele lançou seu primeiro EP "The Dark of The Morning" (com cinco músicas: "Move Together", "Need the Sun to Break", "When We Were on Fire", "Stealing Cars" e "Clocks Go Forward") em janeiro de 2013. De maneira geral, sua música é bastante acústica e pode ser definida como folk. James começou sua carreira como cantor de rua.
