American Hi-Fi é uma banda americana de rock alternativo, bastante conhecida pelo hit de 2001, 'Flavor Of The Weak'. A banda foi originalmente formada em 1998, e era conhecida como 'BMX Girl. De acordo com a entrevista de rádio dada pela banda em 2001, o nome veio de um encontro com Keith Richards em um bar. Os garotos mencionaram a ele que estavam procurando por um novo nome, ele sugeriu 'American Hi-Fi. Depois disso, lançaram, sob esse nome, três álbuns, assim como dois álbuns ao vivo.
