Sem dúvida um dos artistas mais interessantes e inovadores que contribui para o blues contemporâneo, o guitarrista Joe Louis Walker brilhava desde o lançamento de seu álbum de estréia de 1986 para Hightone, Cold Is the Night. O disco anunciou sua chegada de forma impressionante, e só tem servido para consolidar ainda mais a Walker como um dos principais bluesmen mais jovens em cena.
Walker viajou um caminho tortuoso para o topo do blues. Ele nasceu em 25 de dezembro de 1949, em San Francisco.
