Biografia:
Jo Elizabeth Stafford nasceu em 12/11/1917, em Coalinga, Califórina, próximo a Fresno. A Grande Depressão impossibilitou-a de continuar estudando para ser cantora de ópera, o que a fez juntar-se às irmãs Christine e Pauline no trio vocal “The Stafford Sisters”, findo quando estas casaram.
Jo então ingressa em um outro conjunto vocal, que ficaria muito famoso por décadas: “The Pied Pipers”. Eram 8 vozes masculinas e somente a dela feminina.
