Jeff WAYNE no es un nombre que se reconozca instantáneamente entre los fans de rock progresivo, pero es el autor de una obra que muchos consideramos indispensable. Por otro lado, Jeff es (o era) bien conocido en el círculo de los musicales tipo Broadway, pues es allí donde ha desarrollado la mayor parte de su carrera.
Pero comencemos por el principio: WAYNE es norteamericano (nació en Nueva York, aunque sus primeros 4 años los vivió en Inglaterra) y estudió música clásica y jazz.
