Biografia:
Hatsune Miku é o nome do primeiro pacote de expansão do programa VOCALOID², criado pela Yamaha e lançado em janeiro de 2007 com o nome de Character Vocal Series, cujo objetivo era adicionar vozes humanas no lugar dos sons sintetizados. O título e o nome da personagem foram escolhidos combinando os nomes Hatsu (, Primeiro), Ne (, Som) e Miku (, Futuro). Os dados da voz foram criados sampleando-se a voz de Saki Fujita, uma atriz japonesa.
