Irma Thomas (18/02/1941 - Ponchatoula,Louisiana) é uma cantora de Soul e R&B de New Orleans. É conhecida como a "Rainha do Soul de New Orleans". Thomas é contemporânea de Aretha Franklin e Etta James, mas nunca experimentou seus níveis de sucesso comercial. Seu único hit nacional foi "I Wish Someone Would Care", em 1963, mas ela teve alguns outros sucessos locais em New Orleans. Hoje Irma Thomas talvez seja mais conhecida fora de New Orleans por sua gravação "Time is On My Side", que inspirou a versão dos Rolling Stones.
