Biografia:
Helium era uma banda de rock alternativo norte-americana formada durante o verão de 1992. Sob o nome original de "Chupa", os membros fundadores da banda eram Mary Lou Lord; Jason Hatfield, irmão de Juliana Hatfield; Shawn King Devlin, e Brian Dunton. Devlin e Dunton eram ambos membros da banda Dumptruck antes de fundar Helium.
Mary Timony substituiu Mary Lou Lord nos vocais e na guitarra logo após a formação. Depois de um tempo Jason Hatfield abandonou a banda e os membros remanescentes renomearam a banda para Helium.
