Freelance Whales é uma banda de indie-pop/folk formada no Queens, New York, que consiste em: Judah Dadone (vocais, banjo, violão e guitarra e baixo), Doris Cellar (baixo, glockenspiel, harmonium e vocais), Chuck Criss (banjo, baixo, sintetizadores, glockenspiel, harmonium, guitarra e vocais), Jacob Hyman (bateria, percussão, vocais) e Kevin Read (guitarra, glockenspiel, bandolim e vocal).
