Freddie King foi uma figura essencial de uma geração de guitarristas que praticamente escreveu toda a gramática fundamental do blues moderno.
Seu fraseado - conhecido pelo termo “down home thumb picking”, que consistia
em usar o polegar da mão direita para tocar, em vez da palheta - era limpo, preciso e excelente do ponto de vista técnico.

A energia que emanava de sua música, aliada a sua técnica, inspirou lendários instrumentistas que deixaram sua marca na história
