Biografia:
Fred Schneider III (nascido em 01 de julho de 1951 em Newark, New Jersey ) é mais conhecido como o vocalista da banda de rock The B-52's , do qual é membro fundador. Schneider é bem conhecido por sua Sprechgesang que ele desenvolveu a partir de recitar poesia sobre guitarras.
Fred Schneider não cresceu querendo ser um músico. Em uma entrevista com Surviving the Golden Age, Fred afirmou que suas influências musicais incluem "canções de Halloween e canções de Natal", juntamente com a "Motown".
