Na idade de 15 anos, ele era um artista Freestyle para o rótulo Ventura Records.Ele saiu com o nome "Frankie Boy".Ele tinha uma dúzia de canções, como "She's Leaving" e "My Precious Love", mas não obteve muito sucesso em sua carreira musical até mais tarde quando entrou para o grupo Latino 'Los Kumbia Kings ", que era uma mistura de língua espanhola da Cumbia, pop, rap e R & B.Em 2000, eles cruzaram ao longo de um álbum idioma Inglês e tinha o hit single "Love U Não sou eu".
