En España lo conocemos gracias a la BSO de Anatomía de Grey (Grey's Anatomy). Su canción "Homebird" es una pequeña-gran obra de arte de múscia de cantautor con sabor a música espiritual. Su biografía nos explica por qué.
Nacido en Bangor,(Maine, Nueva Inglaterra) Foy fue tomado por su padre, un reverendo de EEUU cuando tenía un año. Vance predicó a lo largo y ancho de Estados Unidos con su familia en el remolque. En las iglesias Negras de Sur, Foy absorbió el espíritu profundo del Sur que infecta su música.
