Falkenbach é o projeto solo black metal do multi-instrumentista Vratyas Vakyas (antigamente guitarrista do Crimson Gates), que nasceu em Düsseldorf, Alemanha, mas que segundo boatos vem da Islândia e participa do estilo mais épico do gênero, cheio de teclado, temas viking, e tendências folk music (uma possível razão para confirmar essas incertas raízes islândicas).
