Biografia:
Epica é uma banda de Metal Sinfônico dos Países Baixos (Holanda), com vocal feminino e vocal gutural, criada no final de 2002.
A banda gravou seis álbuns de estúdio cujas letras tratam o amor, o ódio, a agonia, o sentido da vida, as religiões e a liberdade. Além desses, o Epica lançou um álbum com a trilha sonora que compuseram para um filme holandês e um álbum ao vivo.
O grupo foi formado por Mark Jansen (ex-guitarrista/vocalista e fundador do After Forever).
