Biografia:
Emilia Rydberg nasceu em Estocolmo, em 5 de janeiro de 1978. Sua mãe é Marlena sueca, o pai dela Teshome etíope e graças a ele herda o amor pela música.
Na escola participava de 4 bandas diferentes.
Aos 14 anos que ela fazia parte de um grupo especializado em soul covers. Emília foi descoberto por Lars Anderson (Yogi) - filho de Stikkan Anderson, que ficou conhecida como uns membro do Abba. Ela levou sua fita demo, em 1996. Ele gostou da voz, mas pensava que a música não era apropriado para ela.
