Biografia:
Foi um cantor de Soul, R&B, psychedelic soul e funk. Starr é mais famoso por trabalhar com Norman Whitfield na produção de singles em 1970, sendo o hit mais conhecido, "War".
Starr nasceu em Nashville, Tennessee, em 1942. Ele e seus primos, os cantores de soul Roger e Willie Hatcher, mudaram-se para Cleveland, Ohio, onde foram criados. Em 1957, Starr formou um grupo de doo-wop, ''The Future Tones'', e começou sua carreira de cantor. Starr viveu em Detroit
