Intro: (D),(A),(Bm),(G)

(D)Someday when I'm old, I'll (A)pull up to the store
And (Bm)park wherever, the hell, I (G)want to

(D) I'll buy a box of moonpies (A) and flirt with the cashier
(Bm) Yeah, like I was still twenty (G)two

(Bm) I'll b***h about eighteen dollars, (G) for a gallon of gas
(Bm) Down at the Texa-(Em)co (G)
(A)Someday when I'm (D)old (A) (G)

Yeah, (D)someday when I'm old, I'll keep (A)chewin' gum in my front pocket
(Bm) And cold Dr Pepper in the (G)fridge

(D) I'll let my daughter get mad, (A) say I'm ruining their supper
(Bm) When I give that stuff to my grandkids (G)

Now I (Bm)realize that somethings, (G) they just don't matter
(Bm) And how fast it all (Em)goes (G)
(A)Someday when I'm (D) old (D)

(Chorus)
(G) That clock just starts (D)tickin, (A)oh the day that you're (D)born
(G) And no matter how much (D)time you get
(C) You always want (Em)more (Em)

(D)Someday when I'm old, (A)I'll be the only one
(Bm) Who remembers you young (G) and beautiful
(D) Your dark hair fallin' on that (A)pillow case
All the (Bm)secrets we shared, all the (G)love that we made

And I'll (Bm)hold on to those precious (G)moments
(Bm) Like pieces of (Em)gold (G)
(A)Someday when I'm (D) old
