Biografia:
Downface foi criada em Fevereiro de 1997, depois que um dos membros colocou um anúncio em uma loja local de discos de Madison. Todos os membros da banda tinham o mesmo gosto por música grunge e alternativa, permitindo uma boa química. Depois de se familiarizarem com diversos covers, bem como escreverem seu próprio material, eles foram para a gravação. Em maio de 1998, eles entraram na Capitol Studios, em Milwaukee, onde começaram a gravar seu álbum de estréia, Confidence, e quatro anos depois, em 2002, o álbum Within.
