Biografia:
Thomas Wesley Pentz, mais conhecido pelo norme artístico "Diplo", é um DJ e produtor musical americano que mistura em seus sets e produções influências de miami bass, dirty south, hip-hop, pop e funk carioca.
Diplo conheceu o funk carioca através de uma fita que suas amigas argentinas escutavam sem parar. Sua obsessão foi tão grande que Diplo resolveu comprar uma passagem e ver com seus próprios olhos o que era o tal do funk carioca (que a imprensa estrangeira chama de Baile funk).
