A jovem cantora estudou piano a anos e se inspirou nas músicas das grandes cantoras americanas dos anos 60 e 70 como Carole King, Laura Nyro, Karen Carpenter.
Diane Birch conseguiu criar e estabelecer sua própria voz e estilo. O seu disco de estreia, Bible Belt, lançado pela S-Curve Records (editora responsável por nomes como Joss Stone, Hanson, e Fountains of Wayne) conquista ouvintes de todas as idades. O álbum esteve no top 10 da iTunes mesmo antes de seu lançamento oficial.

The whole song is basically F (with a C in the bass) and C, with the F briefly
going to an F4 in the verse, and there's a G in the end of the chorus (exactly in
the word "told").
The little piano fill that introduces the song is A G E D C
