Biografia:
Desde 1989, quando surgiu em Gotemburgo, sob o nome de Septic Broiler, o grupo demonstra a preocupação de mesclar estas contradizentes características. O próprio nome Dark Tranquillity (tranquilidade sombria) já mostra a obssessão pela mistura de calmaria e agressividade. Os temas escolhidos para as letras sempre são ciência e mitologia, passando pelo xamanismo, teoria do caos, psicologia, artes e autodestruição do ser humano. Em "Skydancer" (1993)
