1. Cults é uma duo de indie pop formado em Nova York por Madeline Follin (vocais) e Brian Oblivion (guitarra e vocais). Os estudantes de cinema que se tornaram músicos de San Diego criam um zumbido nostálgico com seus sons afinados da década de 1960 sobre amor e solidão.
Com doze anos, Madeline Follin recebeu a proposta da gravadora Recess Records depois de visitar o estúdio com seu padrasto, Paul Kostabi da banda Youth Gone Mad.
