Duarte toca un estilo de blues-rock de Texas que se basa en elementos de jazz, blues y rock & roll. En sus propias palabras, su estilo musical es una combinación de "rockin 'blues" y "punk blues".
Nació en San Antonio, Texas , y fue inspirado por la música a los 8 años después de ver el violinista en el tejado en la televisión.
