Interpol é uma banda de New York, formada no ano de 1998 por Paul Banks (vocal e guitarra), Sam Fogarino (bateria), e Daniel Kessler (guitarra e background vocais).
O som da banda é caracterizado por uma mistura de baixo pulsante e som esparso e variado de guitarra. Eles têm sido comparados com Joy Division, Echo & The Bunnymen e The Chameleons por sua atmosfera sombria, sonoridade densa e letras ambíguas.
