Bird York
Kathleen York (aka Bird York) is an Academy Award-nominated recording artist, actor and screenwriter.
After spending years in the indie circuit, York achieved global recognition with her song "In the Deep", which appears on her album Wicked Little High and was written for the 2004 film Crash. "In the Deep" debuted at #64 on the Billboard chart and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song. On March 5, 2006, York performed the song live at the 78th Academy Awards.
