Biografía:

Darren Stanley Hayes nació el 8 de mayo de 1972 en un suburbio de Brisbane, Australia. Hijo de Robert y June Hayes, fue el menor de tres hermanos: su hermana mayor, Tracey Anne Hayes y su hermano Peter Hayes. Desde chico tuvo varias obsesiones, como Star Wars y el deseo de ser cantante, desde sus primeros años admiró a Michael Jackson y creció escuchando motown y pop, como Prince, Janet Jackson, The Smiths, Marvin Gaye, The Eurythmics, Duran Duran, etc.
