INTRO: A D G D A D G A

D/F# G A
She says she hates to sleep alone, but she'll do it tonight
D/F# G
She wants to grab her telephone, but she knows it ain't right
C F
So if he won't call, she'll survive
Bb Dm
And if he don't care, she'll get by
G/B G C
Climb into bed, bury her head
F C G A
And cry___, cry

D/F# G A
From the beginning he was all anyone could have been
D/F# G
They were delirious with love, they were certain to win
C F
Now he's breaking plans more and more
Bb Dm
And he's leaving notes on her door
G/B G C
"Took a trip out of town, couldn't turn this one down"
F C G A
He said, "I guess I should have told you before"

CHORUS:
Dm Dm7 G
She says she feels like she's addicted to a real bad thing
C F
Always sitting, waiting wondering if the phone will ring
Dm Dm7 G
She knows she bounces like a yo-yo when he pulls her string
Am G-C
It hurts to feel like such a fool
A Dm Dm7 G
She wants to tell him not to call or come around again
C F
He doesn't need her now at all the way that she needs him
Dm Dm7 G
She's on the edge about to fall from leaning out and in
Am G F G A
And she don't know which way to move, oh my

D/F# G A
She wants to be fair, she couldn't say he was ever unkind
D/F# G
But if she could bear to walk away, she thinks he wouldn't mind
C F
'Cause he just keeps himself so apart
Bb Dm
And there's no one else in her heart
G/B G C
So she's taking a dive from an emotional high
F C G A
And coming down hard

D/F# G A
She's determined to try, but she'll still give in when he gives her a call
D/F# G
And she'll ask herself why, but in the end it won't matter at all
C F
Sure, she could sit at home, stay inside
Bb Dm
And sleep alone with her pride
G/B G C
And as she walks out her door, she feels as weak as before
F C G A
With nothing to hide

CHORUS:
C F
He doesn't need her now at all the way that she needs him
Dm Dm7 G
She's on the edge about to fall from leaning out and in
Am G-C
She don't know which way to move

CHORUS:
Dm Dm7 G
She says she feels like she's addicted to a real bad thing
C F
Always sitting, waiting wondering if the phone will ring
Dm Dm7 G
She knows she bounces like a yo-yo when he pulls her string
Am F
Hurts to feel like such a fool, woah woah
Am F
And she don't know which way to move, woah woah
Am G-C
It hurts to feel like such a fool
