Conocido principalmente por la interpretación del gran clásico “Blue Velvet”, Bobby Vinton fue uno de los cantantes más populares en los Estados Unidos de comienzos de los años 60 gracias a su aseada imagen de teen idol, su candorosa voz, y sus baladas, cálidas, refinadas y sentimentales interpretaciones de pop vocal con dulces arreglos orquestales.
Bobby Vinton (de nombre real Stanley Robert Vintula) nació el 16 de abril de 1935 en la localidad de Canonsburg, en Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
