Admiral Freebee é um cantor e compositor belga, nascido em 1974. Tom Van Laere é o seu verdadeiro nome. O nome artistico dele vem do romance de Jack Kerouac, On The Road. Admiral Freebee é também o nome de um navio que afundou em San Francisco Bay e foi posteriormente usado como uma bóia.
Van Laere nasceu em Brasschaat, perto de Antuérpia. Ele participou no Rock Humo's Rally, uma das maiores competições de rock nos Países Baixos. Apoiado por um baixista e um baterista
