Biografía:

Ralph Stanley (nascido em 25 de fevereiro de 1927), também conhecido como Dr. Ralph Stanley, é um artista americano de bluegrass, conhecido por seu distintivo jeito de cantar e tocar banjo.

Ralph Edmond Stanley nasceu, cresceu, e vive hoje em uma pequena fazenda do sudeste da Virgínia perto de McClure.

Durante muitos anos fez dupla com seu irmão formando a The Stanley Brothers.
