Biografía:
Otep es una banda de cuatro componentes, encabezados por Otep Shamaya, que se mueve dentro del metal experimental(tal y como la propia Otep los describe, hacen art metal) Son de Los Ángeles, California. Presenciar brevemente una de sus actuaciones fue suficiente para Sharon Osbourne (esposa de Ozzy osbourne) para invitarles al Ozzfest. Las letras de la banda hablan frecuentemente sobre el dolor, el sufrimiento, abuso, religion y politica.
Otep ha actuado en el Ozzfest en 2001, 2002 y 2004.
