Biografía:
The Kingsmen es una banda norteamericana de garage rock de los años 1960. Se formaron en Portland, Oregon. Son conocidos por su versión de la canción de Richard Berry "Louie Louie". Este sencillo los ubicó en el nº 2 en el Billboard durante seis semanas. Esta versión de "Louie Louie" es considerada como todo un clásico.

Cuando se grabó este sencillo la banda era conformada por Jack Ely (cantante/guitarra rítmica), Lynn Easton (batería), Mike Mitchell (guitarra), Don Gallucci (piano) y Bob Nordby (bajo).
